BiographySharmila has been singing since she was
a toddler. She joined a professional children's performing group at age 4 and
spent the next 20 years performing at concerts, appearing in television
programs, and singing & dancing at performances.
Her 5 octave range voice only meant that becoming a
recording artist was a natural progression for Sharmila.
Sharmila is also an accomplished,
professionally trained dancer. She has been dancing professionally since she
was 4 years old, having been part of a professional dance troupe.
By age 15, Sharmila had danced in productions
in Moscow, Vienna, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Sydney, Perth, New York, San Diego, Las
Vegas, South Africa, Milan and Paris.
Trained in both modern and traditional dance, and
together with her powerful vocal capabilities, Sharmila has proved to be
a well rounded performer; a training that surely is serving her well as she
embarks on a new career as a recording artist.
With an extraordinarily high IQ, Sharmila
breezed through exclusive private high schools and started her first year of
college at 16. By the time she was 21, Sharmila was a PhD student,
having attained her Bachelors and 2 Post Graduate Degrees!
As a student, she was juggling her studies as well as
being a performer, singer and dancer. Then, fate stepped in and Sharmila was
signed on to Desert
Wine as one of their premium artists!
Within a year, Sharmila wrote, produced and
recorded her debut album.
Her album is a reflection of Sharmila's
critical take of the world we live in. With a mixture of brutal honesty and
witty humor, Sharmila's lyrics capture the essence of today's world with
all its ups and downs.
Her songs, whilst lyrically profound, are edged in
captivating, modern beats that displays this young woman's confidence as a
songwriter, singer and producer throughout the entire album.
